Video tape has been a remarkably successful recording medium. We can offer VHS, Betamax and Hi-8 domestic machines for hire, all at modest cost. Below are details of our broadcast machines for hire. We have machines for just about all cassette-based video systems.

As an alternative to taking a machine away, we are pleased to offer this innovative option: Use any machine for transfer and capture on a day-rate basis on-site with us.
This includes excellent tea, coffee, a warm welcome and any help required for only £100.00 per day.
Please be aware that damage resulting from the use of poor-quality tape will incur additional charges. If you suspect that your tapes are in subpar condition for any reason, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Relying on hope alone won’t resolve the issue, and we’re here to help ensure you get the best results possible. Your satisfaction is our priority!
This plays all known half inch SD formats in PAL and NTSC. It was designed as a feed machine for non-linear ingest and it is an excellent machine for that.
There are a couple of short-comings you should be aware of:
It has no access to audio channels 3 and 4.
Second, it is not a good machine to use for tapes in poor condition – please don’t!
A player and recorder of large and small PAL digibeta tapes and a player of large and small Beta SP tapes.
We stick with these machines because of the build quality and ease of engineering access.
Plays and records small Beta SX tapes and plays small Beta SP tapes. Very portable and has a nice built-in screen.
It can even run on a 12 volt battery supply.
A lovely machine for computer ingest work.
This machine plays and records small and large DV and HDV tapes. It has SDI outputs for SD and HD. The built-in monitor screen is useful.
We offer machines that play and record all flavours of U-Matic: Low band, High band and SP U-Matic, in PAL and NTSC standard. We have series VO 5, 7 and 9 machines and BVU 800 machines.
Plays back all HDCAM, HDCAM SR and Digibeta tapes.
Records and plays back large and small HDCAM tapes. Fully loaded with all option cards.

Prices are per Day, Week X 3-day rate.
Head clogging from damaged and dirty tape is a common issue. Our machines are well maintained, and all use is at the client’s risk. We have to charge engineering time for cleaning and repair.
